Village Market Day
Village Market Day activities begin at 9 am with a pancake breakfast. Then from 10 – 4pm in Cumberland, Village Square and Dunsmuir Avenue between First and Fourth Streets will be closed to vehicle traffic - offering visitors and locals alike a chance to enjoy a stroll down Cumberland’s historic main street while perusing the many goods and services available in the village. Live entertainment begins at 10:30 am; an Art Kart Derby at 1 pm for adults. And of course, there is the popular and populous street market, and activities for kids & families. This is all part of the Cumberland Empire Days festivities.
Pick up a coffee or a tasty gelato, pull up a blanket or a lawnchair, kick back and enjoy some great tunes in Village Square during Cumberland’s Market Day this Saturday! Music in Village Square runs from
10:30 to 4 and features a variety of local music makers.

Children and family activities are being programmed by the Cumberland Community School.
10-11 will feature Tracey Mantha and the Hula Hoopla! class - everyone and anyone welcome to join in!
11 - 12 Sue Loveless will be there representing the environment club and the lunch program with refreshing fresh fruit and veggie snacks to share
12 - 1 Sue Loveless will lead gardening activities
1-2 at the Masonic Hall, the CCSS Intermediate Theatre performance with Kymme Patrick from Theatreworks will showcase their play and demonstrate their skills
2-3 Lantern Making for the Parade with April Brass in partnership with MusicFest
3-4 Goofy Games with April Brass and student volunteers
Drink a Beer for Charity at the Waverley to celebrate Don & Luisa’s first anniversary at a customer appreciation event. JetFM will be on site.
