Visitor Centre & Museum Hours
The Cumberland Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Centre in the Cumberland Museum Winter 2012 Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 10 am to 5 pm
Chamber Mixer
February 6th at the Waverley. All Cumberland residents and businesses are invited to the first Cumberland Chamber of Commerce Mixer of 2012! Local architect and innovator Tom Dishlevoy will lead us through an exciting visioning exercise to create a visual image our shared vision and dreams for the Future of Historic Cumberland. Drop in at the Waverley Hotel for cocktails and scrumptious appetizers from 5:30 to 6:00, then stay and put on your imagination cap. There will be time for networking and discussion afterwards.
Lunar New Year Celebration
February 11, 2012 Celebrate Cumberland’s historic Chinese community and join the Cumberland Museum and friends for a celebration of Lunar New Year.
Lantern Festival
February 17 - 19 With the support of Trilogy, The Lantern Festival returns to Cumberland.
Heritage Fair
February 18, 2012 Celebrate Cumberland's cultural, architectural, business and recreational heritage. This year's theme is Water, Mills & Colliers
Cumberland Empire Days
May 14 to 21. Presented by the Empire Events Society Cumberland Empire Days are one of the longest running community events in BC and are a proud tradition in the life of Cumberland.
Village Market Day
Saturday May 19, 2012 - 10 to 4pm. Sponsored by the Cumberland Chamber of Commerce and part of Cumberland Empire Days celebrations, Village Market Day will once again fill the streets of Downtown Cumberland with families and vendors and activities and entertainment.
International Workers Day Bean Supper
May 1st at 6pm. Bean Supper and concert. The Cumberland Museum and Archives presents it’s annual celebration of the workers on Sunday May the 1st at the Cumberland Cultural Centre at 6:00 pm. Please come out with your friends and family for a taste of traditional baked beans and other goodies. The Cumberland Museum hosts this annual event in honour of International Workers Day. Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race
September 22, 2012 The Island MOMAR returns to Cumberland! This particular race was just voted 'Best Adventure Race in Western Canada' by Get Out There Magazine for the 5th consecutive year. MOMAR is a one day sprint adventure race on the trails and in the city of Cumberland, with a post race party at Mount Washington.
