Cumberland Community Schools Society’s mission is to strengthen the community through participation & knowledge sharing activities by facilitating educational, recreational, cultural programs & support services for Village residents. CCSS has a fantastic new WEBSITE and we are excited to now be available on facebook. Keeping the community up to date with the fantastic programming and spirit that this local Charity brings to the community. CCSS is looking forward to co-hosting with Currently Cumberland the 3rd Annual Cumberland Youngster Easter Egg Hunt in April and our infamous Huge Garage Sale in the Spring. As a registered non profit society our purposes are as follows:
To provide educational, recreational and cultural programs for children, youth, adults and seniors in the Village of Cumberland;
To build community spirit through participation in knowledge sharing activities;
Encourage life long learning;
Allow access to school facilities outside normal hours, for educational and recreational programs;
Create job training, skill development and potential employment opportunities to local residents; and
Coordinate support between educational, training and other service agencies within the Comox Valley.
